ONF Connect 2019

The Telecom Infra Project brings together network operators, hardware manufacturers, system integrators, software developers and other stakeholders to create new approaches towards building and deploying telecom infrastructure, across access, backhaul, and core networks. In this presentation, we introduce the organization’s motivation, membership, and the wide range of technologies being addressed. We discuss how the members define infrastructure product specifications through project groups that are referenced when members release RFI/RFPs to ecosystem partners and how they demonstrate interoperability of equipment in the TIP Community Labs. We highlight some recent successes in operator lab and production network field trials and some new initiatives just getting off the ground. Finally, we address the importance of cross-industry collaboration through relationships with other key participants such as ONF
