Panel: Edge Cloud - Different Perspectives on Edge

The edge cloud has tremendous potential, with the promise of supporting low-latency/high-bandwidth applications ranging from Internet-of-Things (IoT) to Immersive UIs to Autonomous Vehicles. At the same time, ONF is working with network operators to transition their access networks from closed and proprietary hardware to disaggregated and virtualized software running on white-box servers and switches, the very same platform architecture as will power the edge cloud. The panel will bring together technical leaders from three startups that are bringing innovative "edge cloud enabling" products to market. Moderated by ONF CTO Larry Peterson, the panel will discuss their respective company's insights into where the opportunities are, and what this means to network operators and commodity cloud providers.
