This talk discusses ONF work on microwave and core information models that has led to successful demonstrations of SDN-controlled microwave devices and to adoption of common information modeling concepts across multiple open source and standardization groups in the RAN industry.  The Wireless Transport group in the ONF Open Transport Config & Control Project has done pioneering work defining a microwave information model that has been implemented and tested in an 11/18 PoC in Telefonica, Munich and is involved in operator pilot testing.  The work on information modeling has been adopted in the ONAP open source consortium as a part of SDN controlled radio access networks in the Casablanca and upcoming Dublin ONAP releases.  More recently the O-RAN consortium has begun work on open, disaggregated RAN architecture and is exploring synergies with ONF work on SDN control and management.
