Key drivers for Service Providers’ network transformation are: vendor interoperability, reduced operational costs, faster service delivery, and automated control and management. The Open and Disaggregated Transport Network project (ODTN) is enabling this transition by defining a reference implementation for Open Line Systems (OLS), and leveraging open source, open standards, and common data models like T-API, ONOS, OpenConfig, and OpenROADM. Fujitsu has fully embraced open and disaggregated networking principles with modularized network blades that include open and standardized APIs that leverage next generation interfaces such as gRPC/gNMI. In this session, we will discuss the elements of our implementation and some of the use cases that were enabled in collaboration with the ODTN project.
