ONF Connect 2019

From Fibre unbundling to Bitstream unbundling - this is the transformation journey that STL has embarked on for a multi-tenant FTTx Infrastructure setup, while leveraging the SEBA Exemplar Platform. The work is in-progress, and the STL team has updates and observations to share that can benefit carriers who are in the process of establishing network sharing environments in the last mile access network. STL's journey thus far has involved performance trials of SEBA, planning and deploying the solution in a production trial environment, and running the trial cycles and consolidating the observations. Every stage of this journey has helped the STL team to discover insightful observations. Some of these observations are towards performance stability of the solution, some are towards crucial aspects of production readiness, and some are towards the approach that can change the Access Network Economics.

1) The session will summarize the experience of a field trial as carried out in a shareable FTTx Infrastructure environment.
2) The session will offer a view on how SEBA could potentially influence Access Network Economics.
3) The session will also offer glimpses of performance benchmark data as obtained from various Trial cycles.
